Your registry is yours. Here's what that means:
Your registry can't be found unless you choose. Your address is shared only if you choose. Cash gifts stay in your Untied account until you withdraw them. You control all of this in your registry settings.
We never sell your name, address, payment details, registry contents, or who gave you what.
We email you from Untied, and some emails feature partner brands. Brands don't get your email address or any other personal information.
We may share anonymous, combined stats with partners, like "most-requested items."
What we collect and why
We collect what we need to run your registry: your name, email, and password; your registry and settings; a shipping address if you add one; gift details (the amount, plus the gifter's name, email, and message if they give them); and basic device and usage data. Payment and bank details go straight to our payment processor, Stripe. We don't store them.
We use this to run your registry, process gifts and withdrawals, prevent fraud, answer your questions, send you emails, and improve Untied.
A registry can reveal personal things, like a separation. We treat that as sensitive. We use it only to run your registry, never to target you with ads, and never share it in a way that identifies you.
Who we share with
People you choose: your registry, and your address only if you choose to share it.
Our payment processor and service providers (hosting, email, analytics, support). They can use your information only to work for us.
Your selected stores, only as part of the process to fulfill a gift sent through them.
Authorities, when the law requires it.
A buyer, if Untied is sold. We'd tell you first, and this policy would still apply.
Emails, partner offers and anonymous stats
Untied emails: we subscribe the email you sign up with to Untied emails. They include tips, news, and featured offers from partner brands. We send them, and sponsors don't receive your address. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link and our mailing address, and we process unsubscribes within 10 business days. We don't add gifters or registry visitors unless they sign up themselves. Service messages, like receipts, still reach you.
Anonymous stats: we may share combined data, like "average gift size by region" or "most requested items." We remove names, emails, addresses, and gifter details first, and we combine at least 50 registries. Partners must agree not to attempt to identify anyone.
We never sell or share your address, payment details, who gave you what, your registry story, or your finances.
Cash gifts
Cash gifts stay in your Untied account until you're ready to withdraw them. Cash gifts carry a processing fee. The person giving can choose to cover it, and if they don't, it comes out of the gift. We may ask you to verify your identity before a withdrawal. We never share your balance or withdrawal history with advertisers, partners, or data brokers.
If you're in a legal proceeding
Still actively going through your divorce? Talk to your attorney before you create a registry or withdraw funds. Gifts, including cash held in your Untied account, may be treated as an asset in a legal proceeding, depending on where you live. Untied isn't a law firm and can't give legal advice. Registry records may be requested in legal proceedings.
Cookies and ads
We use essential cookies, analytics, and ad-measurement tools (like the Meta Pixel) on our public pages, never on registry, gift, or checkout pages. Some state laws call ad measurement "sharing." You can turn it off with "Your Privacy Choices" in the site footer, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals from your browser.
Your rights
You can ask us to show, correct, download, or delete your information anytime. Reach us through the contact page.
The rest
Keeping and protecting your information: we keep it while your account is open. After you delete your account, we remove or anonymize it within 30 days, except records the law requires. We use encryption and access controls, but no system is perfectly secure.
Children: Untied is for adults 18 and older.
Changes: we'll update the date above and tell you before any change to how we share your information.
