A processing fee of 4.9% + $0.30 covers card processing and keeps Untied running. By default the gifter covers it, so the recipient receives 100% of the amount chosen — gifters can opt out at checkout, in which case the fee comes out of the gift.
Absolutely. Registries are private by default and only visible to people you share the link with.
